This may seem like a basic exercise, but there are actually a lot of ways it can go wrong. If you don’t use good form, you can end up seriously injuring your shoulders! So make sure that you’re totally balanced before lifting anything. Brace your feet on the floor to maintain stability and slightly arch your back. You should grip the bar firmly and keep your core tight. Start small and don’t forget to have a friend spot you while you lift!
