Last Minute Valentine's Day Workouts

There’s always pressure to look your best for Valentine's Day. Angeles Burke, member of the National Physique Committee (NPC), A.F.A.A. certified instructor and Celsius fitness ambassador, has some fun workouts and fitness tips that will get you looking your best before your night out – whether you’re on a date or out with friends, these Valentine’s day specific workouts will help you tone up before you take on the most romantic night of the year!


Heart with Leg Abductions
Balancing on your left leg, extend your right leg out to the side, maintaining a strong core.
Raise your arms above your head, touching your hands together in a heart shape.
Bring your right leg back to position and return your arms to your sides.
After 15 repetitions, switch legs.

Red Dress Approved Curtsy Lunges

Start standing upright.
Lunge your rear leg behind and across front leg.
While lunging, raise both arms up to make 90 degree angles to your body.
Return to original standing position and return hands to sides.
Repeat this 20 times.


Side Plank “Hugs”
Begin movement from a side plank position.
Twist your torso and wrap your top arm underneath your core, simulating a “hug.”
Slowly return your hand up and straighten arm to side plank position.
Repeat 20 times per side.

Cupid’s Arrow Leg Kickbacks

Lie on your side, legs straight.
Lift your leg up, creating a “bow” form.
Lift your leg back, mimicking the movement of drawing back a bow and arrow.
Repeat 20 times per side.
