5 Healthy Habits To Adopt In 2014

New Year's resolutions are notoriously difficult to keep. But don’t let that stop you.  Keep your resolutions simple and strive to make realistic goals that way success can be in your future.

If you want to have a happy and healthy 2014, consider adding these five healthy resolutions to your to-do list.

Curb Your Internet Addiction

You can hardly see people whose noses are not buried in their laptops or smartphones nowadays.

If you wish to have more time for family and friends, you need to control your usage of electronic devices. This gives you more free time to knit, cook, or walk your dog. You will feel less stressed and people will be happy to have your attention.

Get Some Zen

Building downtime into your schedule is as essential as breathing air.

Try to squeeze in some yoga sessions into your weekly schedule. You will be surprised by how it replenishes your energy and provides you with a healthy outlook in life.

Lose Those Love Handles

Add some daily abdominal work to your schedule. Doing several rounds of Bicycle Crunch daily would help give you a firm stomach.

Simply lay on your back with your hands holding your head. Lift your right knee towards your chest and twist your left elbow to meet it. Do the same on the other side and twist back and forth.

Cut Down on Sugar and Fat

Make this your year to eat right. Simply adding healthy greens to your plate and removing that extra donut would go a long way in keeping your body in top shape.

Let Bygones be Bygones

If you have unsettled issues with a co-worker, invite him or her out for a coffee and talk it out. Life is too wonderful to hold grudges. And holding a grudge only affects you.
