Try Organic Milk – It’s The Healthy Choice

A recent study proved organic milk to be the healthier choice in the dairy aisle. Get the skinny on this alternative to natural and inorganic milk.

Try Organic Milk – It’s The Healthy Choice

Organic milk or inorganic milk, which is better for you? Researchers finally answered this hotly debated question that will make a trip to the dairy aisle a little simpler. Charles Benbrook, a professor and researcher with the Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources at Washington State University determined natural milk is indeed, the healthier option. He found organic milk has health benefits that you just can’t get from a glass of regular milk.

The study examined 400 samples of each type of milk, natural and inorganic. Throughout the research, organic milk proved to contain more omega-3 and less omega-6 than regular milk. The higher levels of omega-3 and lower levels of omega-6 are a direct result of the diet fed to milk-producing cows. When cows are purely grass-fed, they produce healthier milk, richer in essential vitamins and omega-3.

Omega-3 works wonders on the body: lowering blood pressure, staving off depression, and reducing inflammation. In addition to omega-3, organic milk also contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which increases the body’s metabolism, reduces abdominal fat, and aids muscle growth. These antioxidants also boost skin health, help with weight loss, prevent cataracts, and even make you look more youthful.

While making your grocery list, consider substituting regular milk with organic. A glass of milk in the morning is a great way to kick off your morning, and organic milk is the healthier way to start this excellent habit!
