Jackie Warner’s No. 1 Tip for Building Your Self-Esteem

Top personal trainer Jackie Warner always seems so confident and comfortable in her own skin.  She never seems timid or self-conscious, just engaging, assertive, and self-assured.  We just had to know her secret!  Here’s what she shared with us.

Jackie admitted that a large part of her confidence stemmed from working on her body and being proud of her appearance, but she had another important trick for developing self-esteem on a daily basis.  The trick?  Set one goal per day and achieve it.  It may seem simple, but it is an incredibly effective way to build your self-worth and your sense of accomplishment.  The act at succeeding on a daily basis will make you feel wonderful about yourself and it will also spark your ambition to do more. 
Your goals could range from something simple, such as doing your weekly grocery shopping, to something monumental, such as running a marathon; just make sure you have a goal for each day.  If you can’t think of any goals to pursue at the moment, here are some you can start with:
-Washing and drying your laundry
-Applying for a job
-Finishing a book
-Attending a fitness class
-Cooking a meal
-Taking a long walk
Eventually, your goals can become more complex and challenging.  Just make sure you keep achieving your goals, and don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back every time!
