| A Few Fab Hairstyles for Women Over 50! |

Just because some of us are 50 or older, doesn't mean our hair has to be flat, dull, or boring! Even though as we age the composition and demeanor of our hair changes, we can adapt by choosing new, fashionable styles that flatter our best features! What is your problem area? For most of us, we'd like our hair to flatter our faces, and that means perhaps concealing a certain mark or wrinkled patch. Deciding what you think is your problem area will help you choose a hairstyle that compliments your best features in the best way possible. Think jawline. As we age, that once strong and pronounced jawline begins to loosen, and for many of us the skin underneath begins to sag a bit. If this is happening to you, choose a hairstyle that features longer layers that frame the face, like the woman in the photo above. Instead of directing attention to your neck, this style features your face and especially your eyes. This hairstyle will also serve to conceal some of that space under your chin! Try bangs. Even if you've never had bangs before or people have told you that your face is too round for bangs, give them a shot! If you have wrinkles or expression lines on your forehead that you'd like to conceal, bangs can make you look younger, especially blunt bangs pushed forward. If your forehead isn't your problem spot, you can still wear sideswept bangs. Just make sure you keep them trimmed and out of your eyes so we can still see your best feature! Get volume. If flat hair is your biggest problem, there are several cures! Sporting a shorter 'do will put less weight on your hair, and you'll be able to style it even more effectively and voluminously! Use gel or mousse to make a short cut even more attractive. If you want to keep your longer hairstyle but add volume, massage mousse into your roots and put no product on the ends of your hair so that you don't weigh it down. Towel-dry, blow-dry with your head upside down, and finish, avoiding combing in downward strokes that flatten hair.
