Whole Grains

Whole grains are more nutritious than products made with processed flour. Incorporate steel-cut oatmeal into your morning breakfast routine. You can also switch up your lunch bread with whole-grain bread in the place your usual white hoagie bun; this swaps out a ton of calories on its own! Buckwheat, rye and bulgur are other varieties you can use to switch up your current diet. Whole-wheat pasta is an easy way to change up your dinner plate.

Old Habits Die Hard
Remember that although your eating habits play a major role in your body's well-being, you should also take care of your body in order to take care of your mind. In order to think well and be alert throughout the day, make sure you are getting between 25 and 50 grams of protein a day.

Try to eliminate the tempting foods that are high in both fat and salt.  High levels of fat lead to problems with the heart and bloodstream while and abundance of salt can cause an imbalance of your electrolytes. This can slow you down both physically and mentally.
