Kristin Chenoweth’s Guide to Getting a Beautiful Smile PDF Print E-mail
If you’re familiar with the smash hit Broadway musical Wicked, then you probably know that Kristin Chenoweth played the ever-popular, spoiled, but ultimately loveable character of Glinda.  Kristen Chenoweth is a Tony and Emmy Award winning actress and singer, and now she’s teamed up with Listerine and their “Your Mouth Has Something to Say” campaign to help inspire Americans to keep their smile beautiful and healthy. She recorded the voiceover for the campaign's video series, which donates a portion of each viewing to America's Toothfairy - a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving dental care among children and providing them with much-needed oral health services.

Fit&FabLiving was lucky enough to interview Kristin Chenoweth to find out how she keeps hear pearly whites bright and healthy, why this campaign is important to her and a few other fun tidbits!

1. What inspired you to team-up with Listerine for this campaign?
I have always cared about my teeth sicne I was a little kid. I mean, you only get one set of teeth...they kinda gotta last you. This video series really reminds us of the power of our smile. The smile is after all an opening to the soul. Nobody should be ashamed to smile.

2. What does your daily dental routine look like?
It's a 3-step process. I brush, floss and gargle each day. Especially being on broadway, I'll gargle with a Listerine product before going on stage. I was actually shocked to find out that brushing and flossing clean only about 25% of your mouth. That's pretty disgusting. But using an antiseptic product like Listerine helps kill more bacteria.

3. Do you avoid certain foods that are known to stain your teeth?
I enjoy a Starbuck's tea everyday, and I also enjoy cola, but that's why I love the Whitening rinse by Listerine.  Unless you're drinking through a straw, they'll all affect your teeth.

4. You're both an actress live on the stage as well as behind the cameras. Which role is easiest and which do you prefer?
I wouldn't say that any of them are easy. All the roles are challening, but in good way. I love being in front of a live audience. Behind the camera, there's lots of waiting and things aren't as immediate; it's definitely a slower process.

5. Can you tell us of any fun, new upcoming projects you're working on?
Yeah. I'm going to be in a new ABC television show Good Christian Belles, and I'll also be touring for my new country album that's being released September 13th called Some Lessons Learned.
