Cranberry Relish PDF Print E-mail

Ditch the canned cranberry sauce and make this unique relish for your next Thanksgiving dinner!

Ingredients


* 2 lb. fresh cranberries
* 3 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
* 2 pears, peeled, cored, and diced
* 2 C. golden raisins
* 2 C. sugar
* 1 C. fresh orange juice
* 2 Tbs. orange peel, grated
* 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
* 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
* 1/2 C. orange flavored liqueur

Directions


Heat all ingredients except liqueur to boiling.  Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring frequently until mixture thickens, about 45 minutes.  Cool slightly and add liqueur.  Refrigerate, covered, 4 hours or overnight.
