Biscuit Peach Cobbler

Just a bite of this gooey, cakey dessert will have you mmm-ing with pleasure. Eat it curled in bed and wash it down with a warm glass of milk; you’ll be sleeping like a baby! Psst: it’s also low-calorie, so no regrets.

Serves: 4-6 Prep Time: 15 Minutes Cook Time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 C. peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 C. sugar, divided
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/2  C. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 C.  milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Make the filling by tossing peaches into a saucepan, along with half the sugar and water.
  3. Bring to a boil and set aside.
  4. Mix the remaining ingredients and a pour into a baking dish.
  5. Spoon fruit on top, syrup included.
  6. Bake for about 40 minutes, until batter rises on top and turns slightly golden.
  7. Serve with a glass of milk or a dollop of whipped cream.
