Another holiday is upon us, and you know what that means. Time for some themed nail art! Here are the best Christmas manicures we’ve found.
A lot of these manicures look complicated, but all you need is a nail art pen to draw most of these designs. Sally Hansen’s come in a rainbow of colors are available at any drugstore.
Candy Cane: Paint your nails with two coats of red polish. Using a white nail art pen, draw the candy cane stripes. You also try drawing lines of varying thicknesses, depending on how you want the stripes to look.
Peppermint: Similar to the candy cane, but you draw white lines from the center of the nail to create a peppermint swirl.
Snowflakes: Start off with a navy or dark blue basecoat. A nail art pen will be too thick for this design, so use a toothpick and white polish to draw the snowflakes.
Red and Green Glitter: If drawing isn’t your forte you can always paint on some red and green glitter polish.
Red and Green Matte: We’ve written about matte polish before and all of the manicure possibilities it offers. The blogger Goose’s Glitter has created a simple Christmas themed mani using red and green mattes.
Marbled: We found this super abstract manicure on Pinterest. First you water marble your nails (how-to video here) and then add a glitter top coat.
Holly: Add greenery to your nails by drawing tine holly leaves and berries.
