Tell us a bit about Zobha and what kind of lifestyle it is intended for. Who will love this brand?

Reese is constantly photographed and enjoys fashion. She loves this line because just like any mom, she has a busy life and has to wear clothing that is functional and fashionable to drop the kids off at school, go workout and attend meetings. Moms are super busy, especially working moms like Reese!

What style is your favorite, and which items make the best transition from workout to errands with the family?
Where do I begin? I love all of the Zobha clothing because they are so beautifully constructed and figure-flattering on all people.  I love the leggings, the straight leg carpi, the Hailey Tank, the Annette and double layer tunic. They are all fabulous!

What are your key tips for women trying to lose weight before bikini season?
Cardio, Cardio, Cardio! You should also be focusing on your heart rate, so be certain to invest in a heart rate monitor. During workouts, you should aim to keep your heart rate within 65 – 85% of your maximum (220-age= x.65 and .85). This is your target heart rate range. By monitoring your heart rate during cardio, you can gauge your workout intensity and level of fitness while getting an accurate read of calories burned. Motivating body fat loss helps maximize all of the benefits of exercising in a short space of time.

Strength workouts are also important. Increasing strength increases lean body mass which in turn raises your metabolism and helps your body burn calories at a higher rate, even at rest!

Can you share a favorite fitness move with us that can be done in a short time frame and without any major equipment?
THE BURPEE is a full body exercise performed in four steps. Begin in a standing position. Begin to squat position your body with your hands on the ground. Extend your feet back in one quick motion to assume the plank position. Return to the squat position in one quick motion return to an upright standing position.

How does your lifestyle reflect your beliefs about diet and exercise? How do you stay fit while on-the-go and while training others?
I lead an extremely active lifestyle but also try and eat a small amount of protein and carbohydrates every 3-4 hours for energy to keep my metabolism firing. I also stay hydrated. Not drinking enough water sabotages your body’s ability to function at a high level. When dehydrated, your workouts feel much more difficult.

If you had one piece of advice for a woman who wanted to get motivated to lose 10 pounds, what would it be?
Once again, Cardio, Cardio, Cardio and monitoring your heart rate!

Improve Your Diet: Drink More Water
If you are exercising to burn fat, be sure to consume at least 64 ounces of water per day, plus an additional 16 ounces for every hour of moderate exercise. Fat is excreted primarily through urine, sweat, and carbon dioxide when released in the air from your lungs. If dehydrated, the body isn’t efficient at excreting the fat from the body. Avoid sugary workout drinks packed with calories and look for a vitamin-enhanced beverage that includes electrolytes and vitamins to replenish your body.

If your goal is body fat loss, abstain from carbohydrates before cardio. Carbohydrates release insulin and nsulin suppresses your body’s ability to burn body fat. Instead of using fat your body relies on stored carbohydrates for fuel (glycogen) and spares your body fat.


Your body rejuvenates itself when you are at rest, building stores of energy that you’ll need in your fitness program. The National Sleep Foundation advises getting plenty of sleep and completing your workouts at least three hours before bedtime, to promote better rest.

Remember to:
Drink plenty of water, get an adequate amount of protein, sleep at least 8 hours and most importantly, have fun!
