Green beans are a great vegetable to include in a wide variety of different meals. Though available canned year round, the can usually includes a lot of sodium. It’s far healthier to enjoy them all summer long.

They are in season from May to October and you should take advantage of their nutrient-rich qualities. Like a lot of the vegetables on this list, they contain vitamin A and C. But this great green vegetable also has manganese and dietary fiber to help our bones and digestive system.
