The ice dancing pair has been dazzling audiences and judges since 1997. And although they turn up the heat when on ice, they are not a romantic couple.
Meryl and Charlie are both from Michigan. They both attended and graduated from the University of Michigan. Meryl started skating when she was5, while Charlie first wore ice skates at 3. They received their first Olympic award at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, where they won silver. They bagged the gold at the 2014 Sochi Games. After much thought and discussion, the duo decided to sit out the 2018 PyeongChang Games.
Since 2010, the couple has been involved in Classroom Champions, a program that pairs athletes with high-need classrooms. They provide lessons in ice dancing through recorded videos. Which they send out once a month to teachers and classrooms
