What is it?
BODYPUMP is centered around strength training. Each participant has their own personal barbell that they use for the entirety of the one-hour class. This high-energy class makes weight training fun by choreographing the moves to upbeat music.
What can I expect?
The class will begin with a warm-up to get your heart pumping. After that, the rest of the class will be spent working out every important muscle group. From your abs to your chest to your arms, every part of your body will get a thorough workout during this class. Using the beat of some rockin’ tunes to keep you going, you’ll work each part of your body for about the length of one full song. This may sound intimidating, but the amount of weight you put on your bar is entirely up to you. If you’re a beginner, you can start with lighter weights and gradually work your way up to heavier ones in future classes.
