Aside from free weights, strength-training gym machines are also great for losing those flabs in the arms and improving upper body strength and overall fitness aesthetics. Next time you visit the gym, include the following gym machines to give you well-defined arms.
Cable Machine. This machine will give the back of your arms better definition. To target the muscles in the back of your arms, stand facing the cable machine, extend your arms upward to hold the rope or straight bar in a V shape, and then pull the arms down to the sides of your body. Stop short of locking your elbows. Return slowly to the starting position. Repeat. You should feel your triceps – the muscles in the back of your arms – burning.
Dip Machine. Sit down facing out and with your feet flat on the floor. Adjust the height of the seat so that the arm bars are just below your armpits and your arms are bent 90 degrees. Grasp the handles, press down, flex your triceps as you extend your arms, and then slowly go back to the starting position. Repeat.
Hammer Extension Machine. Adjust the height of the seat so that the arm rest is just below your armpits. Place the back of your arms over the arm rest and grab the handles. Extend your arms forward and down, flex your triceps as your arms straighten. Go back to the starting position. Repeat.
An overall strategy that includes regular, full-body exercises and a healthy diet is the most effective way to lose excess fats anywhere and everywhere in the body. But you can target your triceps using gym machines to tone the muscles and achieve better definition.
