I can’t think of a more perfect summer drink than a shandy! And even better, with it being half beer, half lemonade it’s easy to make into your own low-calorie version! Here’s how I customize my very own shandy that I love to enjoy all summer long.
Start with 150 ml of light beer. Any light beer will do whether it’s a wheat, lager, or pilsner. If you want to focus on making it low calorie, then choose your favorite low-calorie light beer. Next, add 150 ml of your favorite lemonade. Both sparking and flat will work; just use whatever you like best. My favorite is crystal light. Since it’s only a few calories, I don’t feel as guilty having another shandy… or three! It may take a couple times to get your shandy just the way you like it but once you do it’s sure to be your new summer drink staple!
