Low-Calorie Drink: Summer Shandy

Nothing says summer quite like a refreshing shandy! And the best part? It’s easy to customize into a low-calorie version. A shandy traditionally combines beer and lemonade, and with just a few tweaks, you can enjoy this light, flavorful drink guilt-free all summer long. Here’s how I make my perfect low-calorie shandy:

Light beer

Ingredients:

  • 150 ml of light beer: Whether you prefer wheat, lager, or pilsner, any light beer will work. For a low-calorie option, choose your favorite light beer to keep the drink under 100 calories per serving.
  • 150 ml of lemonade: You can use flat or sparkling lemonade, depending on your preference. I personally love using Crystal Light lemonade because it’s flavorful and only adds a few extra calories, making it perfect for a lighter drink.

Directions:

  1. Mix the Beer and Lemonade
In a glass, combine 150 ml of your light beer with 150 ml of lemonade. Adjust the lemonade quantity to your taste if you prefer it a bit sweeter or tarter.
  2. Serve
Add ice if you like your shandy extra cold, and garnish with a lemon slice for a fresh, summery touch.

This low-calorie shandy is perfect for sipping on a warm day without the worry of extra calories. Once you find the right mix for your taste, it’ll quickly become your go-to summer drink. Cheers!
