Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine

Warm up this season with a glass of spiced and aromatic Mulled Wine. Our recipe take about 20 minutes from prep to serving, so you won’t have to wait very long to be sipping on a seasonal cocktail.

Mulled wine is a classic holiday adult’s only beverage. It is like a winter weather spiced and fruity sangria. Make this recipe your own by altering the ingredients or for simmering the wine longer.

So cheer to the cold winter days and a glass of our favorite Mulled Wine to keep you warm and toasty.

Mulled Wine

Serves: 4

Total time: 20 minutes

1 (750 ml) bottle red wine

1 orange, sliced

1/4 C. brandy (optional)

1/4 C. honey or sugar

8 whole cloves

2 cinnamon sticks

2 star anise

4 orange slices, for garnish

In a non-aluminum saucepan, combine red wine, orange slices, brandy, honey, clove, cinnamon sticks and star anise. Cook over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer to about 15 minutes.

Remove from heat and strain wine into a punch bowl, over a fun bottle using a funnel. Serve warm and garish with a slice of orange.

Please remember to drink responsibly.
