The DASH Diet

DASH, which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, is a diet specifically created for individuals who have hypertension, or high blood pressure. What to Eat

The DASH diet involves eating large servings of fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods. Most proteins are included in this diet, but a person is discouraged from eating all red meat. The DASH Diet also restricts soft drinks, fatty foods, foods with a high sugar content and processed foods.
