Trust us, we’re so over winter. From frozen toes, to runny noses and overly puffy coats, we are ready for summer. But we have found the silver lining in the frozen tundra that is know as winter. Did you know, the chilly temperatures may actually help you lose weight?

That is correct. When the temperature drops and you get chilly, the brown fat in the body is activated. Brown fat in the body stores food for energy.  When your body is cold it uses the brown fat for energy to warm up the body.

One way to make the cold work for you is to turn down the temperature in your home. Just make sure your not shivering.
