The Summer Beauty Bucket List

The Summer Beauty Bucket List

With only about a month of summer left, now is the perfect time to start crossing things off your summer beauty bucket list. You know, the beauty tricks you told yourself you wanted to try, but never got around to doing! Now is your chance to make the most of the fleeting summer sunshine and experiment with you beauty regime. After all, there’s no better time than the present!Experiment with beach nail art

In the cold winter months, we often stick to neutral or jewel tones, but the summer is the perfect time to venture outside your comfort zone when it comes to nails. So why shouldn’t your nails be a reflection of where you’re spending most of your time? Beach nails may seem a little wacky at first, but imagine being on beach sporting nails that match your bathing suit. Who isn’t in the mood for a little fun in the sun with nail art like that? For inspiration, check out our some of our favorite beach nails from around the web:

Skip the shower – substitute with dry shampoo

Still unsure what all the dry-shampoo hype is about? Well if you’re skeptical, summer is season to try it out. We typically sweat the most in the summer and many dry shampoos have perfected new residue-free, ultra-fine mists that instantly perk up hair weighed down by sweat. Sometimes after a day at the beach your roots start to feel greasy. Spraying a little dry shampoo on your roots will get rid of the grease, while still maintaining your beachy waves you worked so hard for during the day.

Ditch the foundation and opt for tinted moisturizer

How great would it be to quit applying a heavy foundation every day? Even some of the best foundations have a short life-span on your face during the summer.  Replace your foundation with a lighter tinted moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated while still allow it to breathe! Just remember to buy a product with a good SPF. SPF30 or higher is recommended.

Braid your hair…everyday

There’s something about braided hair that just screams summer. While braids are often used as a trick to score awesome waves, they can also be a fun hairstyle all on their own. With all the different braid hairstyles out there, you could experiment with a new look every day of the week. From lose braids to braided messy updos here are some of our favorites:

Wear nothing but lipstick

Summer is the best time of the year to go makeup-free. Sunkissed skin is beautiful on its own, and the hassle of makeup application every day wastes precious time you could be spending outside. However, if you were to apply any product, make it a bright eye catching lipstick.  Bright pinks and corals are particularly trendy this summer. Give your lips a chance to shine on their own before the leaves start to fall.
